Dear Friends,

We made it! We walked and knocked every door in this constituency. We sat with our seniors and heard their incredible stories. We held ceremony with our young Indigenous activists and met them at the Bell Tower. We raised flags for Pride, and Filipino Independence, and we listened to as many people as we could find, to share their thoughts and hopes about Point Douglas, the NDP, and the future of our constituency.

WINNIPEG - NDP Candidate Bernadette Smith expresses her sincere appreciation to the voters of Point Douglas following her decisive byelection victory.

"I want to sincerely thank the community for their incredible support throughout this campaign," said Smith. "This was a hard fought campaign, and to have this result shows that Point Douglas voters reject Brian Pallister's agenda of cuts. I promise to continue to be a strong voice and community advocate as your MLA."
