The NDP has named a new caucus chair and new roles for two MLAs, Interim Leader Flor Marcelino said today.
The new caucus roles take effect immediately and include:
- Tom Lindsey, MLA for Flin Flon, will assume the role of caucus chair;
- James Allum, MLA for Fort Garry-Riverview, will add the critic role for Growth, Enterprise and Trade to his other duties; and
- Nahanni Fontaine, MLA for St. Johns, will add the critic role for Children and Youth Opportunities to her other duties.
“Tom Lindsey is a lifelong advocate who fights for the priorities of working people,” Marcelino said. “I also want to thank James Allum and Nahanni Fontaine for accepting important roles as we fight for opportunities for young people and good jobs for families.”
The NDP caucus thanks outgoing caucus chair Rob Altemeyer and outgoing MLA Kevin Chief for their good work and service to the people of Manitoba.
