Watch the Forums

The Manitoba NDP Leadership 2017 Forums concluded today in Winnipeg following an exciting series of turnouts and performances by the leadership candidates, President David Woodbury said today.

"The Forums have allowed Manitobans to better get to know the candidates," said Woodbury. "I'd like to thank everyone that took part by attending a Forum in-person or watching online."

The Leadership 2017 Forums started in Brandon (July 18), followed by Gimli (July 20), Thompson (July 24) and Winnipeg (July 26). All events featured questions from Manitobans across the province who submitted online at todaysndp.ca/leadership-question. All Leadership 2017 Forums were free and open to the public in accessible venues, and an ASL Interpreter was made available in Winnipeg.

"Ensuring the participation of not only our members, but Manitobans at large is an important democratic exercise for our party and our province," added Woodbury "I hope that all those who are interested in this race continue to ask questions and learn more about each candidate ahead of the Leadership Convention."

Full videos of all four Leadership 2017 Forums will be posted online todaysndp.ca/leadership-forums and youtube.com/ndpmanitoba. The Manitoba NDP will elect its next Leader on September 16 at the RBC Convention Centre in downtown Winnipeg.
